validated & certified

As the first translation agency certified according to DIN EN 15038 in Germany, medax meets all prerequisites for high quality translations in the fields of medicine, pharmaceutics and chemistry. This is a distinction of which we are very proud.

According to process-oriented quality standards, medax had its first 3-day independent audit by TÜV Süd inspection agency in 2007. Successful results of the annual audits since then guarantee that the high quality requirements are met.

These are characteristics that speak for themselves – and for medax as a partner.

What is the difference between certification according to DIN EN 15038 by TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH and registration with DIN CERTCO?

In contrast to certification, registration only involves a declaration on the part of the company that they conform to the requirements of the standard with regard to working practices. Whether or not they comply with the claims made in their declaration is not checked, either by the registering authority DIN Certco or by other third parties.

In the case of certification, on the other hand, a neutral expert must check for conformity with the standard DIN EN 15038. This is done by an independent institution and their specifically trained auditors. The unquestionably higher value of certification arises not just from the testing programme, which is closely oriented to the specifications of the DIN standard, but also from further examination of internal processes. Certification is thus clearly superior to registration.
